Awana Club International is a Bible-centered youth organization with a long history of reaching boys and girls for Christ and training them to serve Him. Through this ministry, children are mentored and encouraged by the love of Christ. God is changing the world through the ministry of Awana by equipping leaders to reach kids with the gospel and engaging them in long-term discipleship. Awana impacts and shapes the lives of millions of kids and adults worldwide through proven resources and expertise that help churches and families develop lifelong disciples of Christ. Offered through local churches, Awana reaches kids where they’re at and walks alongside them in their faith journey helping them find their identity in Christ.
Awana is for children ages 3 – 6th grade.
Awana is an acrostic for the phrase “Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed” taken 2 Timothy 2:15
” Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the work of truth.”
- scripture memorization from an Awana handbook
- short Bible lesson
- game time
- held during the course of the school year
- Wednesday evenings 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
It is important that your child(ren) show up each Sunday with:
- Bible from home
- Awana handbook (if it was taken home)
- Awama uniform (Cubbies and Sparks only)
We encourage the clubbers to grow into a habit of bringing their own bible to church every week and giving their 50 cents every week to foster a heart of giving to the Lord.
Our Awana Club has a one-time yearly fee of $20.00 per child. This allows us to order books, awards, literature and other material needed to run an Awana Club. Please complete the attached registration form and return it in the envelope provided with the registration fee. Checks can be made payable to West Pines Baptist Church.
Our two younger classes have uniform vests that are used to display their achievement awards.
These vests are available for purchase for $9.00. If your child should happen to lose their workbook during the course of the year an $8.00 fee is needed to replace the handbook.
Occasionally we have special events for our clubbers (crazy hair night, favorite team…)
You will be notified of these special events so that every child can participate.
We look forward to this upcoming Awana year with much excitement. If you have any questions about Awana, please call the church phone number (317) 386-8178 or email me personally at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for entrusting you child(ren) to us for the purpose of helping you train them up in the ways of the Lord. We will constantly do our best to share with them God’s great news of love and salvation.
